Jan and I go back way back to SCLC days when I used to 
work on OCLC interlibrary loan for the region from the 
basement confines of the New Haven Free Public Library. 
 Later while on the SCLC Board Jan was always good at 
reminding me to attend the meetings!  

Working at the Russell Library our paths had crossed again 
in the last few years with the move of CLC to the "White 
House," our library annex building next door.  A couple of 
years ago we traveled together to a conference in Boston, 
and would chat in passing, even up to a couple of weeks 
ago.  I also am sad to read of her passing and send 
sympathies to her family and her family at CLC.
