For those who donated theology and religion books for the Sierra Leone
project the following is an excerpt from a letter from the Student -
Librarian dated 31 Jan. 2008

 

"Dear Ms. Lesiak,

 

I write on behalf of the students of (St. Paul Seminary)...to extend our
profound thanks and appreciation for your generous donation towards the
development of our seminary library.

 

In deed the large collection of books you sent were happily received. I
wish to inform you that the books are of great importance to our
academic formation. We are already using the books for our reference and
research work. Students from other higher institutions here in Freetown
such as Fourola Bay College and Wjala University are also using them...

All in all we sent 37 boxes with about 800 books. 

 

They are still in need of additional books (in good condition) which can
be sent to St. Paul's Major Seminary, Regent - Freetown, PMB 981, Sierra
Leone, West Africa. M bags are the least expensive way to go. 

 

I will send a follow up letter to libraries who participated in this
worthwhile project.
