Dear Library Contributors:

RE: For the Books for Sierra Leone project for St. Paul's Seminary

I wanted to follow up with you to let you know that your donations of
theology and religion books were greatly appreciated for the cause of
St. Paul's Seminary in Sierra Leone after the civil war caused the loss
of over 2000 books and devastation to their seminary. Photos are
attached of the seminarians in the area that is now being used to house
the books. Father Charles said he actually had to store some boxes in
the basement because they didn't all fit on their shelves. All in all 37
boxes of approximately 800 books were shipped overseas. I will forward
the student-librarian's letter when we receive it.

I am passing the word for Fr. Charles - Funding is still needed for
rebuilding efforts and new books. If you are able to make a donation for
their cause it would be greatly appreciated. Your tax-deductible checks
can be made out to the FNGoodnews Fund and sent c/o Rev. Edmund S.
Nadolny, Pastor, Sacred Heart Church, 48 Cottage St., East Berlin, CT
06023. Please indicate on your check that it is for St. Paul's Seminary.

Father Edward Tamba Charles spent some of the summer here last year,
appealing for help to rebuild the seminary and library.

Thank you all for your worthwhile contribution for this cause.

Sincerely,

Dear Ms. Karen Lesiak,

I am very sorry I was not able to send the photos as quickly as I had
promised. I am attaching two photos of the seminary library. I shall
scan and send you later the student-librarian's letter of appreciation
in another mail. I am have a little problem with my scanner presently.
Hopefully I will send the letter this coming week.

The books you sent us constituted a boost to our efforts to rebuild the
seminary library by the civil war here. We owe you and all the
contributors a debt of gratitude.

Yours sincerely,

Fr Edward Tamba Charles
