Why don't you try the Connecticut Circuit Student Poets? I think it is
run by Wesleyan University in Middletown. They do a state tour every
year (for the past 38th years).

Subject: [CLClist] looking for a poet

Dear colleagues,

Our school is interested in hosting a poet-in-residence for a few days
next year, specifically for fourth grade students. Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance,

Barbara
