Internet Safety: Protecting the Security of People and Data

In this half-day workshop you will learn the tools to keep on-line and
in-office perpetrators from stealing information for identity theft,
financial theft, fraud, and vandalism. You will learn the ins and outs
of internet imposters who may be posing as legitimate businesses and how
to protect yourself, and the information in your care. We will also
cover what to do if you, or your library, become victims of a security
breach. This workshop also includes critical information about internet
safety, and protecting children. You will hear startling statistics
about the nature and pervasiveness of internet predators and what you
can do to keep children safe at home, at work, and at school.
