Dear CLC members,

We at CLC invite you to visit www.ctlibrarians.org/news/
newsletter.html and download the March issue of our newsletter,
CONNtext. It's a great issue, filled with opportunities for learning,
saving, and connecting. But most importantly, this special edition is
a tribute to our late office manager, Jan Gluz. If you were fortunate
enough to know Jan, you'll be able to relate to the anecdotes that
CLC's director, Christine Bradley, recalls in her moving cover
article. If you didn't know Jan, our stories will give you a glimpse
of the remarkable person you missed.

Of course, our work goes on (albeit not as smoothly), as Jan would
have wanted it to - so here's what else you'll find inside this issue:

--Details on the OCLC Direct Program for 2008-2009
--9 March roundtable programs that you and your staff shouldn't miss
--Signup info for the New Britain Rock Cats' 8th Annual Reading Books
in Summer (RBIS) Program
--Spring discounts from H.W. Wilson, Encyclopaedia Britannica, and more
--New database offers from WALDO
--Lots of library happenings and member news.

A reminder ... Trendspotting III is coming up soon - Friday, March 14
at the University of Hartford. Register online at
www.ctlibrarians.org for your chance to hear top-notch speakers in
the area of Open Source technology: OCLC's George Needham, LibLime's
Josh Ferraro, CARE Affiliates' Carl Grant, WALDO's John Stromquist,
David Lindahl from the eXtensible Catalog project, and Karen
Schneider, the Free Range Librarian.

As always, thanks for your membership. Enjoy CONNtext.

--Christine S.
