Hi All,
I am posting this on behalf of Carl Nawrocki, chair of the Friends of
Connecticut Libraries (FOCL) Awards committee.  Do you have a Friends
group or a member of your Friends who is deserving of an award from
FOCL?  Listen to this:

My late Mother-in-Law gave me paperweight that has printed on it,” A
lot  of 
things wouldn’t get done, if it weren’t for the last minute”. The
month of  
April is full of deadlines that saying could apply to. Income tax is
the first  
to come to mind, the next your FOCL award nominations.  I’ll bet you
have 
been thinking about  nominating your Friends group and a dedicated
Friend. Well, 
minutes have been  ticking by and the last ones are in sight. It’s
time to 
act. Nominations are  conveniently due one day before income taxes,
April 14th. 
Forms are also a big issue in April and you get tax forms at IRS.Gov,
if  you 
need a FOCL nomination form it’s Mengels at CSLIB.org
